The mechanical moon phase watch RE-AY0103L00B the flagship of Orient Star with a new in-house movement with a power reserve of 50 hours. It features a semi-skeletonized cutout (also called an open balance) at 9 o'clock, a power reserve indicator at 12 o'clock, and at the 6 o'clock position lies the date display and the moon phase indicator, which rotates once on its own axis in 29 days, 12 hours and 43 minutes.

The dial features a unique contemporary motif of flowing water. The deep blue gives the dial an attractive contrast and a sense of depth. The moon phase indicator shows the moon gently shimmering, while the diamond-shaped hands represent the glittering stars. The hour and minute hands are wider, and the hour hand has been shortened so that it does not overlap the hour markers. The length of both hands has been refined in units of 0.01 mm to improve visibility and legibility. Furthermore, the minute and hour hands have 2 different surface finishes. One side is polished and the other half is sandblasted. This makes the hands visible from any angle.

The Roman index has grooves on the surface and are chamfered at the top and bottom. This is a special feature, which can be found impressively under a magnifying glass, but gives a good feeling that real craftsmanship has gone into this.

The model has an super anti-reflective sapphire crystal (SAR coating) on both sides to reduce glare and ensure visibility. The caseback is also made of sapphire crystal, while the case and metal bracelet are made of high-quality corrosion-resistant stainless steel (SUS316L). The result is a practical yet elegant timepiece for everyday wear that further enhances the appeal of mechanical watches.

The five-row link bracelet is satin-finished on the outside and in the middle respectively, and highly polished in between. It is secured with a highly polished double folding buckle with double push buttons.
