A solid stainless steel case, a three-link metal bracelet and a white dial are the first visual impressions of the Orient Quartz Chronograph Metal Rectangle White FKU00001W0. Actually, the dials of chronographs are given a colour that contrasts with the hands and indices to improve readability. Orient took a different approach here and outlined the white obelisk hands and the rectangular indices with a thin black line. The small minute as well as the small seconds were bordered with gold as the most important instruments for timekeeping. The small 24-hour display, in turn, is further back in priority, as is the date field. Orient actually constructs the Orient Quartz Chronograph Metal Rectangle White FKU00001W0 like a book, which, by the way, still shows its contents in black on white and not vice versa. Similar to a high-quality, bound book with gold edges, this chronograph, which is water-resistant to a depth of 50 m, is not reserved for sporting occasions. Rather, it cuts a fine figure on any parquet floor, because the precision of its quartz calibre RMC00, incidentally made in-house, is combined with its appearance to create a timepiece that is more concerned with understatement. For this chronograph, the motto is simply: more than meets the eye.
