A wristwatch is both a timepiece and an accessory. With this in mind, Orient designed a men's wristwatch with stylistic elements of a rangefinder camera for the first time in 2005. To mark the company's 70th anniversary, this series was reissued in 2020. The Orient Retro-Future Camera-Style Metal Blue RA-AR0201B10B is a model of this series. The Orient Retro-Future Camera-Style Metal Blue RA-AR0201B10B bears the features of a rangefinder camera lens without sacrificing the functionality of a mechanical automatic men's watch. The bezel with inscriptions small r plus number refers to the adjustable radius of the aperture, which is symbolised on the dial by aperture blades. The inner circle below the applied indices corresponds to the recesses for engaging the interchangeable lenses, and there is a crown protector in the form of a shutter release next to the closely fluted crown. With the balance window and the small seconds, respectively on the 9 and the 6, the Orient Retro-Future Camera-Style Metal Blue RA-AR0201B10B again refers to classic watch elements around the 19th century. The back, fixed with 4 screws, once again has a sight glass for the balance. The stainless steel case with three-link bracelet and folding clasp houses the modified automatic calibre F6S22, which is manufactured in-house. A men's wristwatch that pays homage to analogue photography, beautiful and interesting at the same time.
