The eye is immediately drawn to the polished stainless steel case. With its 40 mm diameter and 12 mm thickness, it embodies both robustness and elegance. The spherical contours and delicate lugs are a marvel of engineering, further highlighted by the brushed and engraved stainless steel case back. With its water resistance of 5 ATM, the watch caters to the pragmatists among us without sacrificing aesthetics.
Another standout feature is the domed glass that conforms to the casing. This not only serves as a protective layer for the dial but also adds an optical depth. And what a dial it is! The color shifts subtly from a dark greenish-black on the outside to a bright emerald green at the center. Printed Arabic numerals and five-minute steps that fully luminesce make the time glow, just like the also luminescent logo.
Beneath this splendor ticks a SW266-1 movement, embodying technical finesse and precision. With a power reserve of 41 hours and a frequency of 28,800 vibrations per hour, this movement epitomizes what makes the Bauhaus series stand out: a harmonious symbiosis of technology and design. The 31 jewels skillfully placed within the movement not only heighten its aesthetic allure but also contribute to the timepiece's longevity.
The luxurious dark brown Shell Cordovan leather strap rounds off the package. This vegetable-tanned calf leather of superior quality imbues the watch with a touch of aristocratic elegance, while the pin buckle ensures the necessary comfort when worn.
The watch's hands are also artworks unto themselves. White rods for the hour and minute hands, featuring a gold-polished center, contrast effectively against the emerald green dial. The second hand is entirely gold-polished, completing this aesthetic symphony.
This masterpiece of horology is more than just a timekeeper. It's a stylish statement for the modern man--a declaration of taste and craftsmanship that accompanies its wearer in every situation.
