The Calendar Auto Orient has dot appliqués on a dial which has left visible paint mist structure due to the sprayed paint. It is clear to see that no machine was at work here. After the topaz green lacquer on the sunburst dial, the dial has been sprayed with a gradient of the same but dark colour. The printed fonts, the border of the index and the seconds lines are printed with a silver special color. The laser-cut aluminum hands have been given a sandblast finish, favoring visibility from any angle. A rotatable bezel with an anodized aluminum ring in an extremely dark green/topaz, which can appear black at first glance, impresses the owner of this great watch all the more. The case has sharply defined lugs that feature all 3 types of finishes that Orient Star has to offer. Polished side, Zaratsu polish on edge and brushed, satin finish top. While reflecting the designs inherited from the original model, the new Diver 1964 2nd Edition features a screw-down case back, a double-domed sapphire crystal with an anti-reflective coating, and water resistance to 200 meters that meets the ISO 6425 standard for air diving watches. It also features the in-house self-winding movement caliber F6N47 from the 46-F6 series, which offers high rate accuracy and a power reserve of over 50 hours. The case is made of high-quality stainless steel (SUS316L) and is ideal for everyday use with a relatively compact diameter of 41 mm. The five-link metal bracelet is also crafted from SUS316L stainless steel for a distinctive presence on the wrist and a comfortable fit. An extension function for divers (between strap and clasp) and the folding clasp itself with side push button and safety clasp are included, as well as an extra silicone strap, making the watch useful for sports or walking around town. The pyramid-like ribs of the additional silicone band reflect the design of the metal band of the original Auto Orient calendar, offering a different look to enjoy.
